I’m glad to have you here looking at my artwork and my bio may offer you some context. I’m a NC native, still live in the same zip code where I grew up. Although I love to travel, I’m content appreciating where I am. I studied art at college and have always loved it, but then concentrated on sales in advertising, marketing and printing. In 2003, I began a company specializing in beautifying concrete with decorative stains and overlays. It allowed more of a creative outlet. Though I am still in that business, I feel called to pursue my passion to create art. I work mostly with acrylic paint on canvas but enjoy using and experimenting with a multitude of techniques.
Most of the work is abstract to impressionistic. I enjoy hearing the reactions of viewers as they see so many different things in each abstract piece. I’ll also be sharing some of my abstract wooden sculptures. I’m fascinated by nature and her shapes, color and textures. My imagination keeps me entertained. I’d like to share some of that with you in the form of my art. I want to try to incorporate some of the textures and stains that I’ve used over the years transforming concrete. There’s so much more artwork out there that I admire and techniques I’ve not yet mastered. I plan to continue to experiment, improve and grow in my expression and I hope that you enjoy what you see along my journey. Please check back often to see the evolution.
